Thinking of Moving to the Greater Toronto Area?

The GTA (Greater Toronto Area) is the most populated place in Canada, with almost 7,000,000 people living in the area. The area is made up of 28 cities, spanning from the York Region, to Simcoe County, all the way to the Durham Region.

There are so many different spots to live that have close proximity to the city that it shouldn’t be hard to find a place to live. You can find houses for sale in the GTA online through searches or you could go with a traditional real estate agent. If you go with InstaOffer you only spend $5000 total in fees, no matter how expensive the house is. You still get to work with a Realtor who will be with you every step of the way, but the process is streamlined so brilliantly that you get to pay a much lower fee.

Finding houses in purchase in the GTA starts with knowing your budget. The outer regions of Toronto typically are less expensive than when you start moving closer to the city like Yonge and Finch. The area is packed with booming businesses and a fun night life, so no matter how far you are from the city from the north, you can know that there is fun waiting for you right on the edge of town.

One of the benefits of living in the GTA is that you don’t have to deal with the traffic of getting back into Toronto after work, that is if you don’t work in Toronto. Working in Toronto while living in the GTA can be a nightmare in terms of traffic and road rage. Many times there are accidents on the 401 and major highways heading out of the city, which can make commuting out of Toronto a poor experience.

The Greater Toronto Area is a fantastic place to raise a family and purchase a home or condo and its pricing varies from around $200,000 to millions. Whatever your budget there is always a home waiting to be purchased in the area. Do some research into the different regions’ demographics and political views if you want a better idea of the community. You may want to live around Liberals, Conservatives, or NDP supporters depending on your political views and how important they are to you.

Do some research on the GTA and where you would like to live. This page has a helpful chart to compare each neighbour in the GTA:

Knowing the average price of a home can help you decide quickly whether that area is within your budget or not. Good luck with the house hunting!
